Coffee, Earl grey tea and me.

I love my Earl Grey. His wife is a tad acerbic but she's fine too.

I can't imagine my life without tea.

Cantonese Roast Duck Rice

Yes! £8.90. Thats almost $18. But it's a huge plate good enough for two. The one in London is much better though.

Roast chicken lentis soup

I never understood the British obsession with baked beans. But soups and stews, oh yes. Wanting made a rich roast chicken lentis soup with potatoes, carrots and onions. Its delicious! I could eat lots of these.

Comparing entry-level utilitarian teabags

Tetleys has a muddy taste and is not as fragrant or flavorful in comparison to Lipton.
But I appreciate that its not overly acerbic.

Warm Coat Complex

There's the Freudian Electra's Complex and Oedipus Complex. What I realise ever since I've been here is that I probably have something called Warm Coat Complex.

My eyes can't help but wander, sometimes even stare. Enviously eyeing the warm coats of strangers and passer-bys, wondering how warm they were in comparison to what I had. Pondering how their down jackets looked so much more well stuffed in comparison to mine.

Its silly really. But relish the feeling of being toasty warm in the freezing cold.

East to West

Having lived on the equator all my life where the sun rises in the East each morning, climbs overhead as mid-day approaches and settles evening time in the West, I found myself confused here in the cold Norwich winter.

After three days of careful observation, I now realize that the sun still rises in the East and sets in the West. But what it does is climb barely half-way up the horizon, moves gingerly from left to right until about 4pm when it gives up the light of day and reclines into the horizon.

Really as much as books and videos are great, nothing beats figuring it out by yourself. I am so smart Ainit? (also see: British slang for "isn't it?")
